Box Score Carroll volleyball delivered a dominant performance in Saturday's tri-match, sweeping both Cecil and Westmoreland in straight sets to go 2–0 on the day. In the opener against Cecil, Carroll overcame a slow start, rallying from an early deficit to take the first set 25–23 before maintaining control in the next two sets (25–21, 25–20). Emily McElwaine and Savannah Disney led the attack with 11 kills each, while Haleigh Hodges added 5. Setter duo Micaela Adami and Disney kept the offense flowing with 11 and 8 assists respectively, and Kiersten Johannes anchored the defense with 4 blocks. Strong defensive efforts from Adami and Hadley Rowsey-Rossbach were instrumental in the first match allowing Carroll to maintain control and take the sweep.
In the second match against Westmoreland, Carroll continued their momentum, winning 25–20, 25–17, and 25–21. McElwaine again led with 11 kills, supported by Hannah Breen with 9 and Disney with 8. McElwaine also contributed two key blocks, exciting the crowd! Adami and Rowley-Rossbach added 11 and 10 digs respectively. Disney added another 8 and Hayden Kyker chipped in with 6 clutch digs, rounding out a well-balanced team effort. Across both matches, Carroll showed depth, resilience, and strong communication, setting a confident tone for the season ahead.
