, the Carroll Lynx cross country team traveled to Big Spring High School for the Dickinson Long-Short Invitational.
In the 8k the men's team placed 12
th of 21 teams scoring 135 points.
Jesse Gresch led the team, placing 57
th with a time of 29:15.8, this is the eighth fastest 8k performance in program history.
Braylon Frey placed 71
st running 30:00.3, followed by
Jimmy Schartner running 31:33.1 to place 103
rd.
Maddox Shuman placed 114
th running 32:04.1.
Salvatore Lavelle ran 32:55.8 to place 127
th.
In the women's 4k, the team placed 14
th of 18 teams with a score of 133 points.
Caroline Vogelsang reset her own 4k program record running a time of 16:48.8, finishing in 60
th.
Alona Lakhmaniuk placed 102
nd running a time of 21:00.6.
Sienna Gaw ran 22:24.4 to place 107th.
Tori Williamson followed in 108
th with a time of 23:03.5.
In the men's 4k, the team placed 14
th of 19 teams with a score of 153 points.
Cross Imbraguglio set a new program record in the 4k distance with a time of 16:03.4, beating the previous record by over six minutes. Imbraguglio placed 82nd.
Carter Wright ran 17:55.3 to place 100
th, followed by
Rodrigo Marin in 101
st with a time of 18:19.0. Marin beat his previous personal best by four minutes.
The Lynx will race next at the Aubrey Shenk Invitational at Gettysburg College on Saturday, October 18.
