Mark Reedy

Mark Reedy was named the head coach of the cross country and track & field programs in July 2024. Coach Reedy takes over after a successful run by the co-head coaching combination of Justin Metzger and Amanda Milewski who started both of the running programs at Carroll Community College.

Coach Reedy comes to Carroll CC from the Western School of Technology where he has been coaching since 2021. In that time he won seven regional championships with both the boys and girls teams while also winning back-to-back state championships with the girls outdoor track & field team in 2022 and 2023. His success there led to being named the US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Maryland State coach of the year in 2022 and 2023. Mark also gained college coaching experience during this time as he was an assistant coach of the track & field team at Goucher College.

Coach Reedy had previously been the head coach at Hammond High School in Howard County where his girl's track & field team took third place at the outdoor state championships in 2009.

His longest tenured coaching role to this point was at Mt. Hebron High School from 1999-2006 where he was the girl's cross country, girl's track & field, and boys track & field head coach. His time there saw three Howard County championships and five regional championships. He was named the Washington Post boy's outdoor track coach of the year in 2004 while also being named the Baltimore Sun and Washington Post coach of the year in 2001, 2002, and 2003.
