The Carroll Lynx started their season traveling to the Harford Fighting Owls, losing by a score of 0-10.
Despite the score, new goalkeeper Sammy León played hard the whole game, saving a total of 16 shots. He faced a total of 43 shots throughout the game. The backline also showed a lot of heart in the contest with defenders Nathan Burndely and Anthony Wallace playing at least 84 minutes each. The Lynx had a total of four players who played the entire match including Eric Wojtkowiak who was solid in the midfield. Carroll was also able to give minutes to every dressed player so the coaching staff had a great look at a wide combination of lineups.
Carroll will try to bounce back in their home opener against CCBC Essex on August 30 at 4:30 PM.
